I played this while I got dressed this am--drums are thrilling but so realistic sound like cannons. French anthem is dominant too. Thanks

actually i think they are cannons in this version. orchestras like to pull off stunts like that a lot of the time.
Dad, Tom, would remember that a few summers ago we went to SPAC to see the Philadelphia Philharmonic Orchestra perform a lot of Tchaik and they concluded with this and yes actually had a tank or something shoot off blanks i think. it was a little scary actually it was so loud.
then there were fireworks afterwards too
