We fly tonight and received notice this afternoon that our flight had been cancelled and that we had been rescheduled on another airline.  Seemed no problem,but it looked like our new seats were on coach.  We had splurged for economy plus seats and were sorely disappointed.  We called Air New Zealand who said they could do noting about that.  My sister called Qantas, the airline to which we had been sent to see about an upgrade.

She waited on hold for an hour and was then told that we were seated on a similar class there.  Whew!  Good news is we have a direct flight now to Sydney.  The original flight was to stop at Auckland, NZ.  So, we are all good but needed a glass of wine to recover from the anxiety.  

Now supper is in the oven.  We will dine one more time with Alex and then go off to airport.  One last fine evening in San Francisco.  We will enjoy it and soon loose a day.  We will never experience the22nd of August, 2019.  I’ll pull off two calendar pages when we arrive in Australia.
