A Halloween Greeting

Bar and Grill Singers

I just ran across this group and thought you would enjoy their song Bill Me Anytime . You will need the real player to hear the song.

Tupper Lake Land Owners

I received a request for a new account from TLLOWEB. Turns out that they saw the post of the NYT article about the Adirondacks. Here was the response when I asked who they were:
We just wanted to post information for you about the Tupper Lake Resort Project after seeing your listing of the NYTimes article. You can visit our website to learn more - www.tupperlakelandowners.com Please share with others interested in Tupper Lake.

New Look

Update (1/10): I have eliminated the most annoying problem and so will go back to the old them although there is still more work to be done. Let me know if you are encountering problems viewing anything because of the way it appears on IE7. I am aware of the problems with the right side of the page.

Because of the way that IE7 was affecting the appearance of the site, I have temporarily changed my theme to another theme that doesn't seem to have been affected as much. I am looking into this and will revert to the old theme as soon as I have a solution. Everything should work as before.

New development in Rahway

This article from the NY Times talks about the new development in Rahway that has Mike and Sam excited.

Using a newly renovated train station as its centerpiece, the mayor’s huge project includes more than 1,500 rental and condominium homes to be built over the next three years, and rows of restaurants and shops, some already springing up on streets newly lighted with Victorian lamps.

The new Rahway will be a pedestrian-oriented, distinctly upscale commuter mecca, sort of the Hoboken of Union County, according to the plans.

Migration Completed

Sorry for the delay. I think it is done and back as before. You can begin to post again. Let me know if you see anything that isn't as it should be.

Web Site Migration

New Update (8/25/06 9 am): the web site has been migrated but this will not probably take effect until mid afternoon. Please refrain from posting or changing anything until you see another blog post from me because your new content might not migrate. If for some reason the site does not look normal or I haven't posted by this evening, please understand that I am working on it and should have it back up shortly. Please bear with me. Thanks Update (7/12/06 noon): the site has not yet been moved. They are still working on a few issues that need to be fixed before it happens but it should be any time now.

Books as a Format for Stories/Journals

After watching how this was developing (and seeing Therese's excellent suggestion ), I thought that the best location for this material would to organize a book for Mom and Dad Woods. They can be accessed by going to "book" in the navigation block on the left side. Additional pages within each book can be created as part of the book just as easily as blog entries can be. Therese, you can post your word version as an attachment if you would like. I also wanted to mention that there must be many pictures (and perhaps other materials) that could accompany and help explain or illustrate these stories.

Deal or No Deal?

This article explains why my life is about to get more interesting.
